I would use Everclear as it should cut through the crud in the pot better than low proof vodka as it is 190 proof as I recall from my college days......This followed by a bit of compressed air should clean things up, but might be a good idea to check out Percy's site for a better pot as once they get noisy they have wear on them and should be replaced soon.......
