Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Hi... I am in the process of building some room lens - noticed that various folks have constructed bases with wood, poured castings of whatever, plastic clamps etc.I was wondering, if adding some lead shot to the base of the tube (just fill inside with a few inches of) would have any negative effects - I'm thinking it might be an easy way to add some mass to the base and thus lower the construction's center of gravity (and thus help the anti-tip factor).
Tx,
S
