I've built the standard XM9 kit a few months ago and I would like to improve its sound ...if that is possible.First off, the PS10 power supply. Is this where the biggest improvement can be made? I was thinking of making the XM9 battery powered by a car battery! Wouldn't that be the cleanest (best) power supply? Anyone try this?
Now for the op-amps and the rest of the parts: what is the most effective upgrade here? The best op-amp?
by the way, I did not jumper the external pots. I am using the three little onboard pots.I'm open to advise -- that's why I bought it (on sale) -- to experiment!
Thanks to those brave out there,
Herman
