I received my AD-825 type 2 module from LC Audio last week. I would have to say that the improvement over my eleven year old NJM chips has been amazing. I am hearing a lot more detail in the bass, before it just sounded like one note all the time, but now I am hearing a lot of variation in the notes. Also the high frequencies are exteremly crisp sounding(I should know, I was listening through a set of electrostatic speakers). Over all, I would recommend this upgrade to anyone that knows how to solder a PCB!You may also want to take note that there may be cheap non-polarized electrolytic coupling capacitors in the analog signal path before and after the opamps, I would recommend that you replace these with Black Gate capacitors available from AA sponsor Michael Percy.
Best of Luck,
Matthew Anker
