What is a good, general purpose wire for internal wiring of components? Nothing esoteric, just a basic, locally available type for rewiring jacks and replacing jumpers and such in older gear.
Also, please specify, wire guage and whether solid or standed is best.
Also, out of curiosity, are there actually disadvantages, sonically speaking, when using a three 9's silver wire compared to a "purer" grade? I mean, does three 9's actually sound "bad" ? I have no plans of using it at this time but I've come across several comments regarding going with a higher grade like 99.999% (or something like that) and staying clear of 99.9% ..... what gives?
