There are two issues: voltage and phase. (1)The Papst, and most other AC motors, may have lower vibration at a voltage different from your line voltage. (2)The 6mfd cap is to create a 90deg phase shift between the two windings. This is approximate and usually adequate but you can do much better with two separate AC sources and the ability to 'tune' the phase shift. BTW, that cap can only be correct at one frequency.
