i recently modify woofer from proac s.tablette. it is seas woofer type 11 fg-x.originally crossover would be 2ndorder(1mh and 4.8 microfarad) without impedance equalization.
i modify it using 2nd order chevblech at 3200 hz and impedance the sound more good at ear with a bit longer decay
my question :correction employing 8.2ohm and 10 microfarad
1)the sound actually is colored or not ?
2) if colored because bad phase shift at crossover point ?
3) what formula good compromise between butterworth and chevblech that sound uncolored and good decay rate?
4) is that impedance equalitazion make the amp more hard to drive it(especially with low watt(about5 watt) tube amp)?
5)employing impedance equalization make add phase shift at lower crossover point?
Thanks
