I've done a few Denon's in the past.I started by odering the schematic from the service center. Then I could plan better what to change. But, as always you can do the main power supply and output stage with the need of schematic. To do any unit its always the same routine. Look it over to get to know whats what. In a Cd player there is the laser and servo section, the main processor, the DAC or DAC's, the output section with mute, and the power supply or supplies. With only a voltmeter you can determine what voltages are used and where the by-pass caps are. In every unit I do I always add or replace the by-pass caps with large value caps. Sometimes I end up with a forest of caps but the units always work better for it. I hope this helps, good luck, bobwire
