Well I've got a few thoughts on your question. As a past owner of a bunch of ARC gear including the Cl. 30 and LS2B, and still a current owner of Classic 150 Monos, I heartily recomend the following:

Buy yourself BrightStar Audio "Sand Boxes" (or go the DIY route. I found a kitchen/bathroom countertop installer who has made me equivalents in Corian for very reasonable bucks). Originally I found that simply plopping the ARC pre and power down on these on their stock feet sounded far better than any cone or footer I tried between the wooden Target shelves and the gear pre sand boxes, until...

You scrape together enough dough to purchase Black Diamond Racing cones and Pucks. I'd totally given up on cones and footers 'til I discovered these babies. Combined with the sand boxes and situated on a good sturdy (welded) rack, I have the most clean, wide-band ,tuneful presentation I've managed. Cones are screwed to the pucks, Puck and cones go between the gear and the sand box top plate

Happy Trails!
