ProGold works fine. What you need to do is apply a good amount onto the surface. Wait a few minutes and then take a fine steel wool pad and remove the gunk from the surface. You will know when everything is removed because the metal surface will become as slick as ice. Then I like to take several Q-Tips and remove the residue and buff the metal surface to a mirror shine. Then apply a very small amount to act as a metal conditioner between the two connecting surfaces (reduce arcing). Remove any extra residue.This tip works fantastic for ac blades.
