Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Thought I'd try part of Jon's AC filter at the source. Put two .01uf 250VAC rated caps in my AC service panel. I matched the values of the caps and put one on each leg of the 240V service to ground. All I can say is yeah baby! Surprisingly biggest improvement was noticed in the midbass where I hear a lowered noise floor that allows more detail to come through and better micro dynamics. Very interesting. Please be careful and do where rubber soled shoes--I started out barefoot but changed my mind. Duh!
