Um, if there was a serious fire hazard I doubt this stuff would be approved for use in the home. Regardless, I wouldn't feel that my life was in danger if I had a stack of newspapers piled up in a corner of my room (arguably a much more dangerous situation) so I certainly wouldn't have a problem stacking a few bags of cellulose insulation (which, as you've noted, has certainly been treated with a flame-retardant) there.So, back to the original question... will these things absorb bass or are they too dense to do much good?
