Not the good oil, really, but sort of an antipasta. AC grid in my place is very, very bad: at evening peaks, waveform looks like 90% square wave. Which is probably one reason I didn't hear any improvements from snubbers across diodes (in ss phono/intergrated; all diodes fast 25ns type). However, there was a significant improvement from a snubber placed across secondaries (before the bridge) and then of course a capacitive filter across primaries.
