I saw some old 32uF/4500V CAPS - good for what?

I saw about a dozen of these CAPS at the Toronto Surplus store. Dunno if anyone is in need for such high rated CAPS.

What are they good for anyway? I guess use them for a 211 amp project and others that require high voltages, but I dunno how good these CAPS are and/or good quality for audio. May have done a lot service before ending up in the Toronto Surplus store. Certainly would be be a killer if I use my body as a conductor when fully charged.

They're rectangular in shape, about 4x2x10inches and appears to be in an aluminum case or tin. And are made in the US. I forget the name if there was one. I saw some other huge CAPS there too, much higher ratings.. All looked like it came from a ONtario Hydro. What are big ass CAPS with super high voltage ratings used for anyway?

As a side note: they used to have this huge TUBE on display. It was like a giant ball with glass probes sticking out of it. It looked like something from an evil science experiement that gone wrong. I actually saw on the net used for an amplifer. I don't remember the name of the tube. It was the weirdest tube I saw. A few weeks later I went back and felt like buying it, but someone else snatched it already. I'm a compulsive buyer and that was one of the few occasions that I didn't act on it. Damn.
