I built two amp stands for my DIY Zen monoblocks. The amp stands (14"x20"x3.5") are composed of two pieces of 12"x18"x0.75" MDF sandwiching a piece of fiberboard attached by glue and screws. The MDF has Soundcoat-like dampening material on the top and is skirted by 3.5"x1" solid black walnut with mitered corners. The four corners of the bottom piece of MDF are MDF footers with steel spikes.
The walnut is purely for cosmetic reasons and matches the base of my amps.
