Harrison makes F-mods, yes the impedance will vary from amplifier to amplifier, but the f-mods add no more noise and are clean so long as the preamp stage is up to snuff.The same crowd that likes passive preamps probably like them to as there is no active element (no more components such as opamps).
They are sold by crutchfield ($30)and parts express ($27?).
You can get high and low pass filters. I have the 70hz@12db/octave and used it befor I had subwoofer outputs from receiver. I still use them in quick setups running a sub on an amp split from the main preamp outputs.
