The listener article bears no relationship to my extended experience with AURIOS and limited try with SRB. I find Aurios to be superb -- all the good stuff they (barely) mentioned and none of the gripes (and mine are in a system with a modified 777ES, a SS Bel Canto EVo and XO-modified 1.6 Maggies -- pretty precise stuff). The SRBs were also very good. The comparison was brief (under the 777ES), with SRBs in normal configuration. I could live with either -- I think the vast differences reported are nonsense (as are most "big differences" re tweaks that are discovered in the various pubs). I could live with either -- both are helpful tweaks! And -- I am cynical about the relationship between ad $$$ and what happens to equipment in reviews -- despite the grand protestations. They wouldn't take ads if they didn't need the dinero -- get it?! I was in high-level marketing for years, and I never advertised in a magazine that didn't treat me very tenderly thereafter. Never! No a matter of honesty -- I assume the high-end folks are both honest and dedicated -- it is a matter of instinct. My opinion.Best.
