With mine [back when I used it; I now have a Njoe Tjoeb :^)], I placed it atop a couple of mouse pads, with a baggie of sand on top of the X-DAC. Seemed to be beneficial, but YMMV.I also strongly recommend you do Jon Risch's "mini-sandbag on the crystal" treatment, and (especially) replace the wall wart with a much larger VA transformer; this latter made much more difference for me than anything else.
