Bob,You have been doing this so many years I think you underestimate the difficulty of doing this for the first time. If you heat the thing too much you will not be able to get the end cap back on the plug. The Lexan deforms from having that much heat on it and you can quickly make a mess of it. It is doable but like Bob say, have a big iron and get in and out quickly.
