Not sure what they charge for the output transistors for the 5800,
but a single one for a 555II ran $15 with shipping and handling! They
were marked with Adcom part #s and the service tech refused to give me
the Motorola part #, so I was stuck paying through the nose for it.
Hope he has better luck with the 5800.
