those steel jacks are OFFENSIVE. I don't care if they're gold plated steel like in my brother's Aragon 8008×3. They are shrill. Others have said the resistors are of poor quality & should be replaced as well, but we all agree those jacks are VERY aweful.
On a Acurus amp, the best bang per buck would be ... get some Cardas female RCAs & XLO tellurium binding posts. These are very cost effective units worthy of fine class AAB amps.....just my 2¢
