Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I posted this on the speaker forum but got no responses. Thought I'd try it here. I apologize for the double posting.I have passive Linn Keilidhs. I am currently just single wiring them and using the original metal jumper between the biwire plugs. I was thinking about switching to biwiring, but also wanted to experiment with swapping the metal jumper with speaker cable. I need some advice, though.
The Keilidh is designed to be used with banana plugs; the speaker terminal is basically a threaded screw and a nut (with a hole for the banana plug to be inserted). Would I take each end of the speaker wire, connect the two exposed threads on each end, wrap the connected ends around the bass and treble screws, and then re-affix the nuts to hold them in place?
Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.
