i built a ported isobaric sub using two 10" peerless drivers downward firing. good to 23Hz in room, crossover at 85Hz and powered by a single channel modified NAD 2600A power amp (500 watts @4 ohms). the nice thing about it is the size 16'w x 16'd x 23'h. its not a complete rectangular box (there are some design trade secrets), but its got kick.
