Creek 5250 passive linestage?

I heard it was possible to switch the linestage on the Creek 5250 to passive. Does anybody have any info on how to do it? The best I've come up with in a web search is "You unplug this thingy here and stick it in another place." Which thingy that is, or where is is, or where you stick it wasnt specified.

If anybody knows about this mod, please let me know.
