These come in two varieties. First is the glue used by car audio installers (3M or Nashua) - the glue partly hardens while it flies, and forms a web-like pattern on your surface. Good for large surfaces. For smaller jobs on the edges use (also spray) 3M Display Mount Glue - this sprays uniform thin coat that takes longer to catch up. For large surfaces, get another pair of hands to stretch fabric before placing it onto glued wood. These adhesives are very fast, you won't have a second chance.
