I built the BOZ and I increased the capacitance in the power supply to 2000uf and by-passed with a small value film cap (.01). For the input and output caps. I used Solen with Hovland by-pass.For the 5K output attenuators I used a DACT.
I used Holco resistors throughout with Caddock power resistors and IRF510 Mosfets.
As noted in the post by H. Fu make sure the Bias is set properly, after getting this advice from Mr. Fu I set the bias by ear and found the best sound at 28mv.
The BOZ has a huge soundstage and it is a fantastic deal at the price, BUT the Bottlehead Foreplay which I also have owned is in my opinion a better linestage. Better midrange, sweeter highs and more musically "real" sounding than the BOZ.
