Ditto the same experience for me with Aurios/SCD-1 a magic combination. However I did not get as much variability with location as denden11. Although I agree with his recommendation for final Aurios placement, anywhere under the SCD1 was a winner for me. My front end is directly in the line of fire of one my ML's so I conclude that I can use any isolation for the Sony. But the message is clear for Aurios owners: experiment with placement for 'optimum results'. I agree with description of 'optimum results' sonics: more warmth and yet more detail/soundstage improvements/dynamics of real music. But the these words alone don't convey the ability to follow inner lines of the music...the old saw of 'hearing stuff for the 1st time' that is so intrinsically right that you intuitively know it was the intent of the artist/the engineer and whoever else participates in the creative experience. No double blind test needed here.
Bravo to the Aurios manufacturers!!
