Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I'm new to alot of the "intangibles", so bear with me. I'm also out of money and being that I live in Florida, I really would be alot more secure with the integrated plugged into a surge suppressor.
But then, just about everything I read urges plugging the amp directly into the wall for dynamics sake (save for a few high $ items slated to avoid squashing dynamics).I'll inquire onward .... this time regarding the Brick Wall, 2 outlet model for audio use (PW2AUD ?). I've heard that this unit uses the guts of the 20 amp models (still 15 amp rated though). I've also read a few "reviews" stating that it doesn't limit dynamics (as the "lighter duty" units do/did) if the amp is plugged directly into one of it's outlets. The plan would be to plug the amp directly into one of it's outlets and a DIY power strip (for now, maybe a Monster "conditioner" later) into the second outlet for source components. I'm mostly looking for surge suppression at this point but still looking to avoid choking my integrated.
Just to be clear, this is the 2 outlet unit slated "for audio use" with the 20 amp innards (still 15 amp rating). Any input on this Brick Wall? ..... please ....
I really appreciate everbodys input and patience :)
Thanks
