Hi Allen,I am glad to hear that your measurement results have improved. As to the peak, yes it is your room. You probably already know that a square room is the worst possible configuration for exciting standing waves, so telling you again is just rubbing salt into wounds. Since all dimensions are identical, the same room modes are emphasized.
Two suggestions, if possible, try to move your speakers to see if you can find a spot that does not excite the peak as much as it does now, but don't expect miracles here. At best you may be able to reduce the peak a bit. The other thing would be to build bass absorbers as described by Jon Risch and others. This is probably your best bet. As you mentioned yourself, a notch filter would do the trick if all else fails.
