Hello Jonathan,we have compared the the super throughs to the gold tunes. the gold tunes are a higher etch design (only slightly i'm told) they are ALMOST as good as the super throughs to my ears. if space is a prime consideration, then i'd go for the gold tunes.
As to elna pulling out of the market, u are absolutly correct. the large japaneese co's can get whatever they like. The small time players like us have to go with the flow. the sacd players must bring a smile to nichicon and elna's faces.
