I've seen postings here that Hospital Grade receptacles
are not good for audiophile use because they use
a more resistive brass alloy which is then nickle plated.

This is not altogether true of the Hubbell HG products.

According to the catalog the line and ground contacts
are 688 Brass. This may not be the highest copper content
brass, but it is not nickle plated.

This is the same brass they use in the industrial grade outlets.

I can attest that the Hubbell 8200 and 9200 series outlets
(I use 9200-IG for isolated ground)
are much better from a mechanical construction and
plug retention standpoint than the Spec, Industrial AND Hospital
Grade Leviton.

Plus the isolated ground version comes in white or ivory,
not just orange.

As for the effect on the sound of my electronics.....who can say.

The thing to remember is that clean contacts are happy contacts.
20 year old outlets, no matter how good they were, are probably
oxidized and therefore noisy.

While its easy to clean the contacts on a plug, the outlets
are a bit more trouble.
