Re: black gate types -- what are the differences?

A quick run down of the BG types.. Besides the standard Black Gate (H type)...

The PK types are minaturised (7mm height), similar perfomance to the standard BG

The F and FK are imporved versions of the standard Black Gate (lower noise etc)

The C type is made especially for coupling between circuits and stages

The N and NX types are Non polarised. (They contain two symmetrical capacitors in one case to create the bipolarity.)

Black Gates are well specified and sound pretty good, but I, myself think better results can be gained with Elna Silmic (has silk fibre enriched separator paper), at a rather lower cost.
