and while I think its too early to say much, I will say this.
I think my amp got louder!
I will do some listening over the course of the next few days and see if it's all snake oil, but so far I'm OK with it.
The receptacle I took out of there was mondo grungy. It had been painted over, the ground wire was badly corroded (I snipped off the end to get a fresh connection) and was all shaky and lightweight.
The hospital grade (from Home Depot, $12, BTW) was easily twice as heavy and had a nice heavy feel in the hand.
Then there was the plugging a power cord into the new little baby. There was some real contact pressure going on there.
