Here ya go. To eliminate the crossover from the mix (it could be that,
by the way) For grins, check your solder joints. Sounds like you need more heat maybe?. I use at least a 40W iron, or a Weller gun. You'll have to unsolder/disconnect the wires, on both woofers. Have woofers out of cab. I'd check the ohms on both at that point. Then connect one directly
to the amp, then the try other one and compare. If one still sounds funny
then there's something wrong with it. Even something simple like a
buzzing dustcap.....make sure it's securely glued. Longshot...a weak
magnet. Could very well be a fried part on x-over, but if it's not
visable, I'd do this test first.If they both sound the same, I'd start looking at the crossover
for burned parts, swelled caps, etc. You can always send the x-over
to me and I'll go through it.
