RE: Got mine yesterday, need advise.

Yes, I've found laminated bamboo boards to be very sensitive to what type of footers are placed both above and below them. In all cases I've experimented with, a compliant footer or pad sounds best when placed under a laminated bamboo platform when placed on a rack shelf, while the use of any type of footer placed under a component that's positioned on top of the bamboo board is fine. Even my double-stacked laminated bamboo platform configuration for use under my power line conditioner/distributor array features a compliant layer sandwiched between the two bamboo boards, while the bottom board is spiked to the floor.

For your application, I suggest experimenting with a set of four 1" diameter x 1/8" thick Herbie's Audio Lab Extra-Thick grungebuster Dots ($3.69 each) positioned under the bamboo board. But, I also recommend buying the Extra-Thick grungebuster Dots along with a set of four small 15/16" diameter x 1/8" thick Herbie's Audio Lab "Thin" Fat Dots (low-compliance dBNeutralizer pads $2.69 each) and compare them with the Extra-Thick grungebuster Dots. Once you get a clear impression of what each type of pad provides, you can experiment by stacking one type of pad on top of the other in order to evaluate them when used together. Furthermore, you can reverse the order of what pad is used under the other, meaning place Extra-Thick grungebuster Dots on top of "Thin" Fat Dots, or the other way around. This offers four different configurations to choose from, for system tuning purposes.
