Suggestions for DIY equipment stands?

Over the past few months I've invested a king's ransom (by my accounting, but then I'm something of a Jacobin) in new components. Now it is time to relocate them from the odd TV carts to a proper, low-resonance home. Trouble is--you guessed it--the bank, more or less, has been broken by the upgrades.
Any suggestions for cheap & easy & sonically competent DIY stands? A few months back, I recall, someone posted a link either here or in AR containing plans for a simple rack made out of four threaded rods and MDF shelves. The design seemed elegant and effective. Unfortunately, I lost the link! If someone could point me there--or elsewhere--I'd greatly appreciate it.
