The answer is very simple for the crystals placed away from the equipment and cables, etc. - i.e., out in the room. The crystals operate as energy absorbers, reduce the unwanted effects of standing waves, early reflections, and vibration. Especially, but not exclusively, in room corners. The theory that crystals must be near an electrical source is incorrect.
