BTW Dave, I think we met a few years ago when I sent you some free ash cubes I developed during my tweak R & D phase. Suffice to say that the Bearpaws work a mite better than a set of small hardwood blocks.

Many thanks to the analog kid for his review--though it came as a complete surprise to me and wasn't prompted or compensated for in any way. I will add that I have abundant inventory for my entire range now in stock--from $15 1" diamter footers to the monster 3" Papa Bearpaw, $69. Compare the price of the latter to MS's mega-mount, upwards of $128.

Here's hoping I haven't breached any AA etiquette in responding to this query about my products. It's been awhile for me, but I'm an avid fan of the Asylum from way back.
