Yes I have hardwired both my Balanced power transformers to the Romex cable in both my homes and the sonic results were way above expectation. Even though the AC wires were soldered and heat shrinked with heavy duty heat shrink with NO POSSIBLITY of fire and/or a short at the connections, the inability to quickly unplug the balanced power unit(s) from the wall caused me to rethink it and safety won out both times. The hardwiring showed me just how much sonic degradation that AC connector's do to one's system, especially cheap contractor grade units, which sent me on my journey to find AC connectors that most closely matched the hardwiring and the end results are Oyaide with the WPC-Z/R1/M1 combo coming the closest with the WPC-Z wallplate being an indispensable foundation no matter what AC receptacle was used.
There are also a few other tweaks one can do to mitigate AC connector pollution/vibrations as well but start with the WPC-Z/R1 as the main system feed and grow from there. The P/C-004 connectors are great if you can't swing the scratch for the M1/F1 connectors and even these can be tweaked to come mighty close :-)
