Funny you mentioned that. I work in R&D in a chemical company that manufactures rubber material used as shock absorbers in the indoor tracks. I also glued some of our material (the best in terms of resillience) at the bottom of these wood blocks and the effect is astonishing. As a matter of fqact, all my shelves and audio components are sitting on 250 mils of this rubber material.good luck!
