Done same on Grado 125s. 25' PBJ direct to amp (yes AMP 100 w TOO). Be careful soldering rather fat pbj to HP driver mylar diaph. melts easy(don't ask).
Runs class a at that pwr. Only way that sounds good to me. Tried same w/ preamp jack NG sound. Jacks and plugs a prob. Also most preamp. and CDP HP circuitry is poor sounding to me any way......Lewis
