Stop wondering and take advantage of the offer. IMHO you can't go wrong with any version if you're getting them at a really good price. I once owned both Emerald generations 1 and 2 at the same time. I found gen 1 to sound just as good as gen 2. I could see no difference in the plugs other than the gen 2's being marked "FPC."
