Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I just read in the most recent Stereophile, that you could get near-balanced power operation for monobloc power amps by simply reversing the polarity of the juice coming into one amp (as referenced to the other amp). I guess the simplest way would be to use a "cheater" plug and reverse the prongs when plugging into the wall outlet. Is this true- am I interpreting this correctly? I have tubed monobloc amps and would like to try, but I also want to verify that I won't damage my equipment in the process. Thanks.
