I am looking at upgrading the rectifer diodes in my 60W tube amp. I have heard that the Cree Schottky diodes may be a good option. Can I directly sub a IN5408 3A 300V radial lead, for a Schottky 6A 600V? How the hell are you meant to know which is the right pin to put in considering they don't have a band like the radial leaded diodes?
