I did think that it would be worthwhil.BTW, on the subject of JR's "ultimate" Cable, I had a lot of Belden stuff thanX to Steven Lampen from Belden.
I did make a pair of these as instructed and was not impressed at all. While certainly better than Radio-Shack IC's and the like, it was nowhere near any of the better DIY Stuff I had around.
The performance was consistent with what I had observed for the Cable I termed UBYTE-I, a simple "low loss satellite coax" having a 1mm solid core, Polyethylen & Air Insulation, copper-foil shield and (removed for the actual cable) a thin braided shield over the foil.
BTW, I also tested silver and copper "Signal Tape" a'la Greg Weaver. Again, the stuff is certainly a step up from the Radio-Shack Interconnects but nowhere near the better DIY and commercial IC's I have around....
Now all that is of course valid only in my system and with my and my friends Ears. Tests where done in a mixture of Blind AB and sighted AB Tests.
