HowdyI have my DirecTV HD satellite cables looped thru my Monster HTS-5100. The purpose is for surge protection more than to clean up the signal. In fact I expected a little signal degradation, but since it's digital and I have a good signal to begin with I wasn't too worried and it didn't make a noticeable difference. YMMV :)
