Rack has been grounded and the results are...........

...........damded if it didn't lower the noise floor thus allowing better focus for micro details to be heard more clearly.

I ran an 18ga. wire from one of the rack frame bolts to my balanced power conditioners earth GND. Each of the 4 rack frame vertical support bolt's was measured to be 0.1 ohms in relation to the PC's GND post. I then installed a ferrite clamp in the middle of the GND wire.

I had to listen with the wire disconnected and then connected more than several times just to reinforce that what I was hearing was real and is repeatable!!

What has me puzzled is 2 of the 3 shelves are 2" granite and the other is 1" MDF mounted to the rack frame thru spikes so there is only the frame that it grounded.

Very interesting indeed and a tweak that I recommend.

Cheers,
