How to reduce diameter of capacitor or resistor wire?

I have a problem need help. I am about to change resistors and capcitors in my amp. Unfortunately, new caps and resistors have larger wire than a hole in PCB so they can't fit to my PCB. What should I do? reduce wire of C and R or increase hold on PCB?
