He hasn't got a high pass filter! It won't work right without one!You don't need to call Richard to find that out and he would just start screaming at the poor guy anyway.
My bet is that he will end up needing a different woofer for his system. One that can be hooked into the system in a different way.
The only other way that I know of, rather than to place the high pass between you amp and pre amp, is to have filters for every source at the input.That is a real PITA if you have very may sources.
