They are not really comparable, since the Stancor is a single isolation transformer, while the Digital Iso Step Down and back Up double transformer circuit is designed to do certain things that a single isolation transformer CAN NOT DO.By another count, the Stancor is rated at 500W, enough to handle a small system, or all of a system except the power amp, while the back-to-back RS transformers (which are no longer available) can only handle about 40-50W, just enough to run a single CDP or DAC, etc.
Note that the back-to-back transformers do not have to be limited to small wattage, you can use other step-down transformers rated at higher currents to do the same thing, and gain the benefit of the very low leakage desite lots of capacitive filtering, all at higher wattage ratings.
I recommend doing a search here on Tweaker's, and looking at posts about the Digital Iso circuit for more idea's on what it does, and what the benefits are compared to conventional single iso transformers.
